Yuzuru Hanyu: 2017 Worlds Gala Photos

Since my last post, I decided to set up a Sportymags Twitter account called @RealSportymags and a Sportymags Youtube account.  This way I can share more photos and some precious videos that I have taken over my journey with Yuzu.

This is my last photo post from 2017 Worlds Helsinki.  It is from Worlds Gala afternoon! After a long week of practices and competition, we could all finally sit back and relax. What a memorable experience this week was.  The results were perfect!!

Here is Mischa in tie-dye heaven.

 

An Asian cowboy.  Boyang had a lot of fun during this program, as did the fans.  Loved this gala performance.

This photo is a bit blurry because, well, have you ever tried to photograph Yuzu doing a scratch spin??  It’s impossible for me, he is spinning so fast!!  We don’t get to see Yuzu doing pure scratch spins that often so this was a nice rare sight.

I am in love with this photo.  I hope it shows as crispy clear on wordpress as it does on my computer.  I don’t recall what Yuzu was doing for this wipeout compared to the one from the quad/quad and the triple axel, but it’s adorable nonetheless.

 

 

Now, this is another priceless shot!!  Everyone was slowly trying to leave the ice after the gala was over.  Because I was still tracking Yuzu through my camera, I did not see that Evgenia took off down the rink and was attempting to start a jump battle.  Suddenly she came into my viewfinder, and Yuzu saw her too.  The expression on his face is SOOO Yuzu, the longing to jump more!!  He looks like a kid in a candy store!!!  Yuzu then got his wish, to try his quad / quad jump combo.  I’m sure this was like Christmas to him! Another truly priceless moment.
